The Young Adults section was created in May 2003, with
Marianne Reynolds at its head.
Marianne who was brought up in the area and has dual citizenship, has an
M.A. in translation and applied linguistics and a B.A. in American and
British Civilization and Literature. Marianne joined France Etats-Unis Côte
Basque at the beginning of 2003, when she came back to the area with her
American husband, Marc, after living and working for 6 years in the UK and 7
years in the US. |

The
Young Adults section organizes varied activities in a friendly atmosphere,
in order to give members of all ages an opportunity to get to know each
other better and to improve their knowledge of American culture and language.
Its mission is also to welcome English-speakers who live in the area. Our
activities include an Happy Hour every month, a bi-monthly conversation
group (lead by Fiona Robertson), walks in the Basque country with Monia,
movie evenings,
quiz nights, theme evenings, etc.

Moreover, members of the Young Adults section are also welcome and encouraged to
attend the traditional association Gala Nights at the Hôtel du Palais for
Thanksgving and Independence Day, the various dinners/conferences, etc.
